For the first time in Tajikistan local textile and clothing companies were introduced to the basics of marketing and branding.
Two trainings on marketing and branding were held in Dushanbe and Khujand on March 02, 2012 under the Trade Promotion Programme in Tajikistan. Consulting companies “Promotion” in Dushanbe and “Business Consulting Group” in Khujand were involved to conduct the trainings for about 40 representatives of textile and clothing companies in both cities.
The participants were familiarized with the definition of marketing, marketing analyses methods and marketing strategy. Mr. Pulod Amirbekov, trainer and “Promotion” Branding Agency Director says good marketing is a key to an effective business and building a prosperous company. Mr. Amirbekov believes that without good marketing it will not be easy for Tajik companies to stay competitive even in local markets, as the level of competitiveness is going up in the country. To retain current clients and to open a door of new markets, they should devote efforts for better marketing and brand creating, says he.
Mr. Ardasher Ibragimov, trainer and “Business Consulting Group” Deputy General Director says, interactive method, as well as mini-lectures and special exercises were widely used in the trainings. Participants actively discussed the current situation with marketing in their companies, says he.
Mr. Saidmumin Kamolov, ITC Trade Promotion Programme in Tajikistan Manager mentions, the current training was organized based on the companies requests and the companies’ needs assessed by ITC international experts. Mr. Kamolov says that raising the awareness of companies’ management and specialists on marketing and branding will be among the focuses of the ITC Project in the future too.
